Sabine von Mering
Sabine von Mering grew up on the (car-free!) North Sea island of Langeoog, Germany. A climate activist with350Massachusetts for a Better Future since 2012, she is Professor of German and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, affiliated faculty with the Environmental Studies Program, and Director of the Center for German and European Studies at Brandeis University (CGES) where she offers courses on German culture and climate change. She co-edited International Green Politics (2002) and Right-Wing Radicalism Today: Perspectives from Europe and the US (Routledge, 2013), and is currently working on a project about Germany’s fight against climate change.
